Program Detail
What was the Reason to start this Program?

Explanation
I believe many returnees underestimate how precious and unique their knowledge is to Japanese Society. Due to the fixed mindset of many Japanese people and invisible tensions or pressure, I think returnees hesitate to express their honest opinions, and in my case, I understood it very well after coming back to Japan. When I told my hobbies or when I told my honest opinions to other students, all of them were disgusted and actually avoided me because they thought I was weird. I agree that everything about me was unusual, but that weird self was me. I was just expressing myself and my own opinions, but actually other people including teachers denied it. However, I believe these kinds of attitudes towards other people are wrong, and if returnees get used to this environment, I believe they will lose their talents and specialty, which I am not exaggerating. Therefore, I wanted to make an environment where similar kinds of people gather, interacting by expressing themselves, showing their specialty, and by exchanging opinions. Nevertheless, I believe returnees should actually interact even more and increase their international knowledge, listening to opinions from completely different perspectives because every culture has its advantages and disadvantages. This program is planned and programmed to increase their international knowledge and nurture returnees’ potential.
How the Program will be Conducted?
The Flow of the Program:
First, students will have an Ice-Break Session where students will break tensions and be more relaxed. After the Ice Break Session, students will break up into teams mainly in continents (regions). After getting into groups, our team will give a topic based on global controversial issues for students to make a Project Proposal with their international background. Students will involve with guests who have expert knowledge, having an opportunity to bounce off ideas and their current knowledge. At last, students will have the time to present their Project Proposal, overall stimulating participants by the unique knowledge each participants have.

Returnees are very unique due to each students' different background. Therefore, by doing Group Works, I believe students will have interesting interaction, and also be a good learning experience, stimulating each other.
